For Immediate Release Enchanting “Renaissance Fare” Victoria, BC, Canada, November 12, 2003 – Sunday, November 16th, 2003 the Crystal Ballroom at The Fairmont Empress will be catapulted back in time with the Times Colonist “Renaissance Fare” Culinary Showcase. The rousing event is part of the Victoria Symphony International Wine Festival, an intimate gathering of 32 prestigious and internationally acclaimed wineries from around the world. The Renaissance Fare Culinary Showcase will feature colorful dance performances from Movimento! The Victoria based dance troupe features both adults and children performing in extraordinary period costumes to Renaissance music.

It promises to be an enchanting afternoon at the Fairmont Empress, with a variety of participating restaurants showcasing their culinary expertise. Participating restaurants include Camille’s, The Black Olive, Spinnakers, Pescatores, Oak Bay Marina, Truffles, Malahat Mountain Inn, The Temple, Vista 18, Fifth Street Bar & Grill, Bond Bond’s, The Victorian, The Boardwalk, Ricks, Hugo’s Grill & Brewhouse, Canoe, Kipling’s, Bengal Lounge and The Empress Room.
