Movimento! Early Dance and Theatre Ensemble

Movimento! re-creates the beauty and magic of dance and theatrical spectacle in Europe’s princely courts in order to present fragments of our mediaeval, renaissance and baroque heritage.

Adult Class Schedule Spring 2010

Movimento! is a performance-oriented group. We do guest performances for community groups throughout the year.

While all students are welcome to take part in these performances, no one is obliged to do so. We understand people have complex time commitments. When students do commit to a specific performance, preparation is done in class time in order to avoid extra rehearsals.

Notes:

Each class begins with a warm-up and an introduction to the required techniques.
Please be aware that the above class schedule is dependent upon registration.
See Children's Classes for additional class times.
Evening classes will be scheduled if there is sufficient interest.

St. Alban's - 1468 Ryan St. (near Hillside and Shelbourne )

Fees:

Spring Term April - June $100.

All costumes are provided by Movimento! at no cost to dancers. However, dancers must take care of their costumes and may be charged cleaning fee. Dances are encouraged to make their own adjustments. Costumes workshops are arranged if there are dancers who would like to learn about making costumes.

Over the next few months, we will be adding information about the different historical dances, their music and the costumes. There will be information about past performances, awards, and biographies of the some of the members of our ensemble. Be sure to bookmark our site and check back often.
