Movimento!  Early Dance and Theatre Ensemble

Movimento! re-creates the beauty and magic of dance and theatrical spectacle in Europe’s princely courts in order to present fragments of our mediaeval, renaissance and baroque heritage.

  • "Watching day" for parents and friends, April 19 '06
     
  • Greater Victoria Festival of the Performing Arts, April 25 ‘06
     
  • Greater Victoria Festival of the Performing Arts, Gala Performance, May 4 ‘06
  • May Day Celebrations, Victoria Home Learners event at Goldstream Park Campground, May 17 ‘06
  • Deborah Young Violin students year-end recital, St. Aidan's, June 4 ‘06
  • St. Alban's First Annual Festival of Dance and the Arts, June 10, ‘06
     
  • An archival DVD was made of the Movimento! Children's Ensemble (in the grounds of the Pacific Centre for the Family, June 14 '06) and edited by Uschi and Ian Leslie.
  • We also made a practice DVD for the children's class.
     
  • We made a video recording of the adult class' work in progress on La Royalle and Grossatesta’s Ballo Primo as an aide memoire to help us maintain our repertoire.
